We Plantin' Competition

“Arbor Day” in Barbados
Across the globe, Arbor Day is celebrated yearly, as a public day to plant trees. In Barbados, Arbor Day is recognized out of the National Conservation Commission’s commitment, to protecting the island’s trees; while maintaining and (in some cases) increasing, the biological diversity of Barbados’ Growing Tree Stock.

About the Competition
The Tree Planting competition is an activity which celebrates Arbor Day, during the month of September. What better way to capture the true meaning of Arbor Day, than by having a 2 week long competition, which rewards participants for planting many, many trees.

The competition encourages persons to register with the project and to start: planting, photographing and uploading their (new) trees to the competition website: www.weplantin.org; during the week of Monday, September 20th, 2021 – from 5:00 AM.

Uploading Photos
“The competition encourages persons to READ THE RULES AND REGULATIONS, then register with the project and to start: planting, photographing and uploading their (new) trees THROUGH THE COMPETITION MOBILE APP; starting from September 20th, 2021 – from 5:00 AM.”
