Vendor and trading licence

An annual licence to sell food, drink, craft or services from a designated vending site on a beach or in a park.

What we do

  • Licence traders at designated vending sites on beaches and in parks

What we do not do

Knowing this now saves you a four week wait for a refusal.

  • Licence trading anywhere other than a designated site
  • Guarantee a particular site, because the number is limited
  • Licence one-off event trading, which is a separate day permit

Apply for a licence

The Commission Act requires a licence to sell goods or services in a public park, in a public garden, on a beach or in a cave. Licences run for one year.

Is this a new licence or a renewal?

Food, drink, craft, hair braiding, watersports, and so on.

The beach, park or garden, and the vending spot if you know it. Sites are limited.

Equipment you will bring, days and hours you plan to trade.

Your application goes to the Estate Management department, who arrange a site visit.
