Permissions and licences
Anything that involves using public land, or trading on it, needs written permission first.
Use of a public area
Apply onlineWeddings, photo and film shoots, markets, sports fixtures, church services and community events on a beach, park, garden or esplanade.

Have ready
- The type of activity, the date, the times and the location
- The number of patrons you expect
- The size of any tent or structure, because the fee is charged by size
- A police permit for security, if more than 200 patrons or loud music
- A COSCAT licence, if you are playing copyrighted music
Vendor and trading licence
Apply onlineAn annual licence to sell food, drink, craft or services from a designated vending site on a beach or in a park.

Works and maintenance
Requests for the Commission to do something on public land. No fee applies to any of these.
Tree removal or pruning
A tree on public land that is dangerous, storm damaged, or blocking a road, a footpath or a utility line.

Buying from the Commission
Plants, park furniture and play equipment. Everything is paid for and collected at Codrington.

Flowering shrubs, hedging, fruit trees, ground cover and indoor plants, grown at our Codrington nursery.

Swings, slides, climbing frames and safety surfacing, supplied to schools, churches and community groups.

Concessions, snackettes and restaurants
Leasing a permanent unit on NCC land is handled case by case, not by online application. Speak to the Estate Management department first.
